This is my last week and i enjoyed it. Im kinda glas its over but it was fun! i made some firends in the office and i think that this was good experience for me to gain. I have all my hours so im happy . Im excited to be graduating this year! But yeah it was good experience. Today i did the same i do everyday. Answered the phones and took messages and booked interviews.

Today is my final day here at Direct Energy. I answered the phones booked interviews and checked messages and called them back. I also helped put the other assistant with her interviewees.

Today i took answering machine messages, emailed some people back that had left there resume in a job bank and again i assisted people with filling out forms and answering some questions they had. I called back all the messages and answered the phones and made interviews for people.

Today i helped out with tha package that new agents use to register people for price protection plans. I also took messages called back all the people that called, made interviews and helped applicants fill out forms.

Today we had interviews so i put all the applicants into one room gave them application forms to fill out and collected them and gave the hiring managers all resumes and application form. I also took messagea and answered the phones to set up nmore interviews for tommorow.

today is the first day of my last week here. I have learned a lot from working here and if i decide to pursue a career in business i have learned skills that will help make me successful. Today i just took messages from the answering service and answered phones and set people up for job interviews.

Today was better, the new head office guy is changing everything around so its more functional in the office. So I erased all the huge white boards in all the training rooms. So that we have more space to seat people. Before we were seating prople everywhere and now were seating the trainees in one room and the applicants in another room, this makes the running of the office a lot more efficient.

Today was kinda hectic. The hiring managers didnt show up until 1130, and they are supposed to be here at 1030 so we had interviewees linedup and i had problems with were to seat them. I was seating them in the training room. It got bad. After they finnally showed up they delayed my lunch until 130 because they came so late.

Week of April 23 - 27

This week was fun. My parents think that my co-op placement is a great way to find out what the job is actually like because its one thing to read about the occupation its another thing to actually work in the field. Some oppurtunities i have had here is working as an assistant to a manager and i see what the managers have to do on a daily basis. To succeed in this career i would have to become more patient, because i get all figgity during the day froms itting down for so long.

Today i helped around the office by helping maria out while she was doing interviews and getting people ready for training. I answered phones and helped people with there online training program when needed.

Today was a busy day at Direct energy. I answered the phones and booked interviews for people to come in and get hired. I also photocopied all the application forms and police criminal record checks i also highlighted all the information that needed to be filled out.

April 24

Today i answered the phones and set up interviews for next week. It has been a boring day and i cant wait to get out of this office and into the nice weather. Theres not really much to do so i am just helping with filing and organizing everything for the independant agents that work for this office.

Today there is no interviews because all this week we are doing renewals on the energy contracts and we only have til April 30th to do so, so they arent training anyone or interviewing people this week. I also had the worst trip to work because half of the subway line was shut down due to a problem at lawerence atation so it took me 2 hours to get here today.

week of April 16 - 20

this week was a good week. I did a lot and i think that i do a lot for this company just by helpiung out the head secretary because she does a lot so i kind of lessin the load on her. Its also been kind of a boring week. I could not be a secretary for the rest of my life, i would b to bored sitting around all day.

Today i helped out photocopying application formas and answered the phones. i also helped out with the trainees on their online training course and i closed up the office.

Today i photocopied and high lighted a whole bunch of application forms and sorted them out. I also put together binders with all the information about the door-to- door sales job for the agents that have their first day in the field tommorow. I spent the rest of the day catching up on my log sheets and blogs. So sorry i didnt keep up with them i forgot. But they are now up to date so i hope everything is okay.

Today i spent the majority of the dya typing out the online training program. I also handed out the application forms and collected resumes, i also did call backs to the people that had left messages on our machine inquiring about the positions available.

Today i helped out with all the applicants getting them organized and seating them while we waited for the hiring managers who were late. I also typed up the online training course. Im not exactly sure of the reason why i need to type out the training program, but im doing it because they told me too.

week of April 10 - 13

This week i learned that, you have to have patience when talking with prople because when they are from a different nationality sometimes they dont understand certain things that you say and you just have to be persistant with it until they understand. I am expected to make decisions at work like, where to sit everyone when there is a line for interviews. I am also supposed to make decisions such as when to schedule people for interviews. I am half way through my co-op experience and i am feeling a little bit frustrated and tired from sitting in thsi chair all day, and what i have decided is that an office job is okay for some people but i dont think i can see myself doing this for the rest of my life. Its to boring i need to be up and moving.

Today I helped out with getting everything prepared for the following week. I photocopied a lot and highlighted a lot. I also typed up most of the online training course. So far its been an okay week.

Today i photocopied a lot of papers and highlighted a lot of appication forms. Its a lot more busy now without Lina, because now we are only doing interviews from Monday til Wednesday. So it got very busy today.

Week of April 2 -5

This week was not a bad week it was a shortened week because of easter weekend. I deal with critisism at my work constructively, such as when someone tells me im not doing something right or my tone of voice is wrong i take it into consideration and try out what they have told me to do. I dont get mad when someone critisises me because it wont help the situation its better to be calm and just try to make it work. My supervisor expects me to be cheery and polite on the phone and quick when i am handing out the application forms to the applicants. And she also wants me to be quick when i collect the applications form with their resume.

Today is the last day before the easter break and i am helping them with interviews and answering the phones to schedule interviews. Im excited for the long weekend. It will give me time to relax.

week of March 26-29

Learning at the workplace is different then learning at school because when you are in the workplace you actually know what it is like to work there. When you are learning something in school they teach you how to do everything and what to do, but you just dont know exactly what your getting yourself into until you work at the actual workplace. I enjoy learning about, the gas rates how they fluxuate every month and how you can protect your rates by signing up to a price protection plan with our company so your always paying the same price.

Today i am typing out the online training course so that my boss has a printed copy. It is very long and is gunna take me a while to type out. I also am highlighting the application forms and paper work that people fill out when they get hired.

This week was a productive week, here at direct energy. I almost signed someone up for a price protection plan on their natural gas and electricity bill but it didnt happen half way through the process they decided against it. But its okay. Now im back in the office i dont think door to door sales are for me. But maybe ill try it again when the weather gets nicer.

Today at co-op, one of the other girls was sick so i had to do most of her jobs around the office. Such as, recording messages from the previous night and calling back all the people that called. That kept me busy for a while. Then i just answered the phones and tryed to convince people to come in for interviews.

This week was a slow week here at direct energy. This week i answered the phones and scheduled people to come in for interveiws. I am enjoying this job so far. I like everyone who works here, and i also like that its an office job, even though sometimes it gets a little boring. I have my own cubicle and i think that i coulkd see myself working in an office job later on in life.

I know that everyday my blog is pretty much the same but i have been doing the exact same thing. Sitting at a desk and answering phones so im pretty much a secretary. Today i did the same i set up interviews and answered questions for potential agents.

This week at coop went by fairly quickly. I think that the job placement is easier then i anticipated. I dont really do any hard work. Right now im just being a receptionist and answering the phones. Everyone that works here is nice. It is an office so I have to dress formal. I enjoy this job, it is a good placement for me. Being ready at my placement means having all the application forms ready for interveiws and having a cheery voice on the phone. But overall my second week on the job was pretty good

On monday i came in early to help set up for the interviews and training sessions. i Answered the phones all day and photocopied a whole bunch of papers.

Week of Janary 19 - 23

This week went by pretty quickly. I learned a couple of new things. I've been setting up interviews for epople to come in and get hired for direct marketing. Not to stressful of a job. The staff in the office are all very nice and I think that this is a good Co-op placement for me i enjoy it, although sometimes it gets a little bit boring. Over all its been a good first week.
